On Wednesday, May 28, head to the Davis Mountains State Park for a walk to learn all about the birds that call the region home and the ones that are just passing through.

The Davis Mountains are a well-known destination for birds, and throughout the half-mile walk, you’ll become familiar with the migratory birds the area sees and the ones that live here year-round, from acorn woodpeckers and the woodhouse scrub-jay to the montezuma quail.

The bird hike takes place Wednesday morning from 9 to 10:30. Anyone interested should head to the park’s interpretive center and begin the hike from there.
