Marfa’s Judd Foundation says it’s working on repairing the damage last week’s heavy winds caused to one of its buildings.
On Tuesday, wind gusts of at least 65 miles per hour leveled a portion of the adobe wall at the “Block,” which served as Donald Judd’s primary residence in Marfa.
In a press release, the arts organization says it worked with engineers, architects, and contractors to stabilize the structure and clear the debris. According to the Judd Foundation, the adobe wall will be constructed, QUOTE “using the same materials that Judd selected but engineered to withstand increasingly powerful storms.”
During this time, the organization says guided visits to the Block will remain available.
