Forecasters with the National Weather Service say this afternoon (MONDAY) and evening, there’s a chance for thunderstorms across the Big Bend Region.

Tomorrow, The Alpine City Council is hosting a special meeting to discuss the city manager’s resignation.

Megan Antrim, who was in the city manager role for nearly three years, submitted her resignation last week after a council meeting where her performance in the role was discussed.

During Tuesday’s meeting, the council is also set to discuss and potentially appoint an interim city manager, and, according to the meeting’s agenda, implement a transition plan to QUOTE “ensure continuity of city operations.”

The city council meeting starts at 5:30 at the city council chambers, located at 803 W. Holland Avenue.

Tomorrow County officials are also set to meet. And as part of Tuesday’s county commissioner’s meeting, officials will consider adding all 120 hiking trails within Big Bend National Park to a regional address database.

The consideration is part of an ongoing effort to improve addressing across the tri-county area.

Kayse Muratori is leading up that effort and is set to provide other updates as well.

The Brewster Commissioners Court meets Tuesday, June 10 at 9:30 a.m. at the county courthouse, located at 201 W. Avenue E.
