This past weekend’s Blue Origin launch was called off due to what the company said were “persistent high winds” at its launch site north of Van Horn.

During a live stream leading up to crewed launch, the events hosts Tabitha Lipkin and Eddie Seyffert (say-FUR) said the launch was the thirteenth crewed flight for Blue Origin and the thirty-third launch overall.

BO1: “And like so many that came before today, it’s a great day to fly in West Texas. It really is. You can see it right behind us. New Shepard offers everyone, young and old, a life-changing experience. We have successfully flown the youngest and oldest astronauts across the Kármán line.” (0:15)

The Kármán Line is about 62 miles above Earth’s surface and is considered to be the boundary where Earth ends and space begins.

Blue Origin says they’re assessing the next launch opportunity for this crew.
