This week, the Small Business Development Center at Sul Ross State University will host a handful of training opportunities for business owners.

The first training is tomorrow (TUESDAY) and will help prepare you and your business for the upcoming tax season. You’ll learn how to use the IRS’s e-File systems for individual and business returns, you’ll go over various electronic payment methods, and discover how to eliminate paper-based processes that slow down operations.

This one-hour webinar starts at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Then on Wednesday, from 11 a.m. to noon, attend the SBDC’s training on using a platform like YouTube to help grow your business. From setting up your channel to running simple video ads, you’ll get everything you need to get started with confidence.

And on Thursday, February 26, learn how to use Canva to help fine tune the design needs for your business. That training is from 2 to 3 p.m.

To sign up for these webinars, and to see other upcoming trainings, head to sbdc.sulross.edu/alpine/seminar-training-calendar/

This week, Bruce Richardson–who’s running in the Democratic primary for Congressional District 23–will hold a meet and greet at The Richey in Alpine.

Richardson is one of four democratic candidates. Last month, he told KVLF he was inspired to run partly because he felt much of the “situation in Washington” came down to politicians not doing their job.

The meet and greet is Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

Early voting for the primaries continues this week. Election day is March 3.
