The Alpine School Board in its regular meeting Wednesday will take up two items offering child care services to Alpine and other city partners.
One is an interlocal agreement with the city of Alpine and a second agenda item is another interlocal agreement or agreements with other community partners.
Superintendent Dr. Michelle Rinehart made news when she took over the top job recently and created a child daycare center in the school administration building.
The city agrees to pay the school district 25 thousand dollars for the current school year.
In return, the district would agree to coordinate, organize and operate a child-care facility with its own approved policies.
Groups like the Alpine Business Alliance have long sought child care facilities because it is hard to attract new businesses if its staff cannot find care for pre-school-age children.
The school board will meet at 5:30 Wednesday in the school Administration Building Board Room at 704 West Sul Ross Avenue.
The meeting is open to the public.
The City of Alpine has posted its April Warrant Roundup for unpaid city citations and we counted about 150 names on the notice.
It asks those on the list to voluntarily resolve the issue before April 5 to avoid being arrested.

Spring in the Chihuahuan Desert lures many visitors to remote West Texas, especially during the months of March and April.
Big Bend National Park has issued a press release saying travelers seeking to escape wintry conditions are finding the park full much of the time.
It already is experiencing record visitation and those who anticipate spending time in the park will need to plan ahead and be prepared.
The park urges visitors to make camping and lodging arrangements before traveling all the way to Big Bend.
Reservations are required for all Big Bend National Park campgrounds.
But campers can make reservations up to six months in advance, with a limited number of campsites reservable up to 14 days early. Since early February, all campgrounds and most primitive campsites have already been filling each day by late morning.
Chief of Interpretation and Visitor Services Tom VandenBerg said many people making a long journey find that all camping sites and lodging options are already reserved.
Enjoy your stay but be prepared for large crowds and sometimes long waits at scenic attractions.
A seminar for West Texas landowners next month will focus on the wildfires on millions of acres in the Texas Panhandle and into Oklahoma, now finally under control.
The Alpine Avalanche reports that it will be from 9 to 2 Saturday, April 13, in the conference room at Big Bend Telephone.
It is being offered by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and lunch will be provided by Capital Farm Credit.
Topics will include do-it-yourself brush control, herbicide tips and pre-and post-native seeding maintenance by Dr. Megan Clayton with the Extension Service.
“Managing Small Acreage Rangeland for Livestock” will be presented by Dr. Silverio Avila, also with Extension Service and the Borderlands Research Institute.
Jayme Trainer will present the third and final segment of the seminar about wildfire preparation and readiness.
The seminar will provide three continuing education credits and registration is limited to 30 participants.
