Services for Celina A. Ornelas of Presidio have been entrusted to Alpine Memorial Funeral Home in Alpine.
She died November 24 at the age of 91.
Celina was born on May 1, 1932, in Presidio and married Tomas Baeza Ornelas on June 5, 1951, and worked for more than 30 years for the U.S. Postal Service.
She was a self-taught piano player and painted landscapes.
Celina was preceded in death by her husband, and a great granddaughter. Surviving are two sons, two daughters, eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The Borderlands Research Institute at Sul Ross State University in Alpine is bolstering resources available to West Texas landowners.
Mike Janis has joined B.R.I. as the newest member of the team and he will help enhance the Center for Land Stewardship and Stakeholder Engagement
He will help landowners access grant funding for conservation efforts that benefit native wildlife that will provide more than two million dollars of Pittman-Robertson funds.
This money will enhance habitat on private lands for the benefit of native wildlife.
It is a result of the Pittman-Robertson act of 1937 that places a federal tax on the sale of firearms and ammunition to help fund wildlife conservation in the United States.
Shawn Gray, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Mule Deer and Pronghorn Program Leader, is the driving force behind the grant.
He said it is another opportunity for landowner partners to further their conservation goals.
Janis comes to B.R.I. from Texas P.W.D.’S Wildlife Division, where he worked for 24 years, most recently as the Trans-Pecos District Leader.
In his new role as Trans-Pecos Conservation Initiative Coordinator, Janis will work with B.R.I. staff and researchers to implement landscape-level conservation projects.
Along with the recently awarded two-million-dollar grant, B.R.I. also administers several other grants that provide funding for conservation efforts on private land.

Elections Administrator Lora Nussbaum to file the announcement for their campaign treasurer.
The filing deadline for those who have completed that requirement will be 6 p.m. Monday, December 11.
Elections for offices all the way up to President of the United States fall every Leap year, which 2024 will be.
At the federal level, we are voting for the President and Vice President, who run as one ticket.
Others include Senator, Congress Representative and some judges.
State offices include Railroad Commissioner and state Senate and House.
