Services for Elena “Helen” Dutchover Bentley of Fort Davis will be Friday and Saturday. She died Saturday in Burleson at age 96.
Viewing will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday at Alpine Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Alpine.
Praying of the most holy rosary will be at 9:30 Saturday morning at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fort Davis followed by a mass of Christian Burial with Father Alfonso Sanchez celebrating.
Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Fort Davis.
Helen was born in Balmorhea on September 28, 1925, and married George Bentley Junior on April 15, 1944. They were married for 73 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are six daughters, two sons, a sister, 23 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren.

Our Congressman Tony Gonzales led a Congressional Delegation of seven members to his 12th tour of the southern border in his Congressional District.
The trip included meetings with local law enforcement, Border Patrol leadership, local elected officials, business owners and a visit to the Camino Real Eagle Pass Port of Entry.
He said while meeting with local officials and Border Patrol agents, they were able to see the challenges our boots on the ground are facing every day.
He thanked his Republican colleagues for coming down to hear and see firsthand from border communities the resources they need to secure our southern border.
Michael Price, Author of “Reptiles of the Trans-Pecos Texas,” will be at a book signing at Front Street Books at 6 Thursday evening.
He also will join Martin Benevich at 9 tomorrow morning on KVLF, 1240 Am and 98.7 FM.
Reptiles is Price’s third book, released in April.
His interest in the natural world, particularly what he calls “herps,” has begun to morph into other areas as well, particularly birds and plants.
He also is an accomplished photographer and many of his pictures have appeared in several national magazines and numerous field guides.
His newspaper column “Wild About Texas” can be seen in more than a dozen Texas newspapers and has been featured on “U.S.A. Today.”
A reminder the ribbon cutting on Alpine Visitor Center upgrades will be at 3:30 Thursday afternoon at the center at Avenue E and 3rd Street.
It will have complimentary food and drinks while supplies last and door prizes. Then a local showcase of musicians will perform.
The lineup is Jeb Space Pilot, Texas Sage, Tom Griffith and the host Desert Debo and her All-Star Review.
Big Bend Youth Soccer currently is registering for the fall season for children three to 15 years old.
Registration will be active from now till the end of this week and first games will be on September 10. The season runs through the end of October.
