I’m Carlos Morales and this is your local news.
Last night (THURSDAY), Alejandra Franco – a member of the Tarleton State University rodeo team – passed away after sustaining injuries during a performance at the S.A.L.E. arena in Alpine.
In a post on Facebook, the school said Alejandra leaves behind a “lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.” The school went on to ask the public to join them in keeping Alejandra’s family, friends, and the rodeo team in their thoughts and prayers.
Sul Ross State University says the weekend’s rodeo events will continue in honor of Alejandra and counselors will be present to support athletes during this difficult time.
