Pearla came into the shelter September 15th found running loose in the city limits of Alpine. We had tried to catch her for over a week as we could tell she was very pregnant; we knew the timer was ticking. We eventually were able to catch her but 3 days after she had given birth to 7 puppies. All of Pearla’s puppies have since been transported to other rescues and are likely already enjoying the comforts of a new home.
Pearla is good with other dogs but does need some supervision at first. She currently can participate in our larger playgroup that includes 4 other dogs. She can be a little shy with new people, but it doesn’t take long to warm up. Once you take her for a walk or sit with her and share a snack, she will be your friend for life!
She does wonderfully on a leash, anyone can walk her, and she loves it! She doesn’t pull on the leash and she knows how to sit. She is also very treat motivated!
